Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Eurobodalla Coast, the Moruya Golf Club features an 18 hole championship course. A favourite amongst members and visitors alike, the course has evolved into a truly picturesque and challenging layout.
We are located on the beautiful South Coast of NSW with our golf course easily accessible. We are only 1.5 hours from Canberra and 3.5 hours from Sydney, making us the ideal golfing destination to get away from city life.
Our clubhouse and golf course are open 7 days a week for your convenience.

Moruya Golf Club History
The Moruya Golf Club was opened in 1925. Starting out as a nine hole golf course with sand greens it was built around the Moruya Showground and Racecourse which was established in 1866.
Work began on the golf course in 1914 with the first golf being played in 1925.
In 1966 well known golf architect Al Howard redesigned the existing 9 holes and incorporated grass greens. (Howard designed Tasmania GC, Elanora, St Michael’s, Bowral and many others)
During the redesign process the golf club was able to access extra land for more golf holes. Three extra holes were added to the course between 1982 and 1984, followed by a further six holes in 1988 which created the 18 hole championship course as we know it today. This work was carried out in conjunction with long term club member Jim Marsden and officially opened on October 1st, 1988.
In more recent time the Moruya Golf Club has really showed off its class as a golf course.
In 2021 Moruya Golf Club hosted the South Coast Open, a NSW Open qualifier for $50,000. The success of this event led to the PGA Australia bringing the NSW/ACT State Associate Championships to Moruya in 2021 as well.

Club Grants
Moruya Golf Club continues to provide funding support for local community groups.
Category 1 funding is specifically for local projects and/or services that contribute to the welfare and broader social fabric of the local community and are aimed at improving the living standards of low-income and disadvantaged communities.
Eligible community groups:

– Employment assistance activities.

Moruya Golf Club: aiming to become a sustainable business. Steps towards a regenerative business that gives back more to society and the planet than what it takes from it.
- Solar system to offset power usage. 220 x panels were installed in 2019.
- Effluent water used on our course instead of fresh water. We re-use recycled water which has been through a treatment procedure to bring the water quality back to a drinkable standard, although we do not recommend this.
- We aim to recycle as much as possible. All our cardboard is collected and recycled through Yumaro.
- We purchase Bio Compostable straws and Bio Degradable Coffee Cups to keep single use items eco friendly.
- We were the first business in Moruya to offer electric car chargers when we installed Tesla chargers at the Club.
We have 4 EV Charges on the premises, x2 Universal and x2 Tesla.
We continue to look at other options to add further charging stations in the future. Our aim is to continue to provide ways to regenerate the land which we operate on. We are continually looking at ways to further improve our operations and further reduce our carbon footprint.
